Okay, the title alone grabbed my attention – After Sleeping With Her Crush’s Father. It's definitely a provocative premise! Going into this, I knew it was going to be heavy on the adult themes and romance, with a healthy dose of drama thrown in. I steeled myself, ready for a potentially wild ride.
What Works Well
The story definitely delivers on the drama and the "smut" tag. The female lead is portrayed as a strong, determined character, and the male lead apparently has that irresistible charismatic charm. The narrative explores the complexities of their relationship, navigating the taboo aspect of their connection. The 'doting love interests' tag seems accurate, as the father's affection is a key element of the plot. The story does have some interesting twists and turns that kept me somewhat engaged, even when I wasn't entirely comfortable with the situation.
Areas of Concern
The biggest issue for me is the ick factor. The son being portrayed as a decent guy makes the relationship between the FL and the father much harder to swallow.
