This sets the stage for a compelling narrative driven by character interactions and the protagonist's attempts to change his destiny. I found myself immediately invested in his journey.
What Works Well
The characters are undoubtedly the strongest aspect of "0 and 1." The protagonist, in particular, is a standout. He's portrayed as somewhat dense and emotionally detached, yet his actions reveal a caring and compassionate nature that draws people to him. It's a delightful contrast that makes him incredibly endearing. The supporting characters are also well-developed, with their own unique motivations and backstories. Even characters initially presented as archetypes, such as the MC's mother, evolve into surprisingly complex and relatable figures. The world-building, with its European influences, adds a layer of richness to the story.
Areas of Concern
