My Thoughts on Who is The Liar?
"Who is The Liar?" is definitely a web novel that leaves you with a lot to unpack. Diving in, I knew I was in for a ride with its mature themes, R-18 content, and tags like "love at first sight" hinting at some intense romance. And intense it is!
First Impressions
Initially, I was a little overwhelmed. The beginning felt like wading through a swamp of complicated relationships and hidden agendas. The push and pull between the female lead (FL) and male lead (ML) is strong, and the story takes its time revealing the bigger picture. It took me a little while to get invested, but once the pieces started falling into place, I found myself hooked.
What Works Well
The messy drama is undeniably captivating. The ML's character is particularly intriguing. He's the kind of "red flag" character that, in a fictional context, I find myself drawn to – intense, possessive, and not afraid to scheme. The author does a great job of creating a tangled web of secrets, and the intrigue surrounding who is actually lying and why kept me turning the pages. Plus, the smut scenes are definitely a highlight for those who enjoy that aspect.
Areas of Concern
The FL's situation is pretty rough. While I appreciate the drama, I couldn't help but feel exhausted on her behalf. Everyone around her seems to be hiding something, and it creates a constant sense of unease. I also hope the author avoids relying on tired tropes like constant misunderstandings and lack of communication. That could easily derail the story.

Overall, "Who is The Liar?" is a guilty pleasure read. It's messy, dramatic, and full of morally grey characters.
