Description
The hunter Benik experiences an avalanche deep in the snowy mountains of Etlen. He takes refuge in an abandoned cabin but becomes completely trapped in the mountains. And he ends up rescuing a child who, just like him, was swept away by the avalanche. Benik gives the name Rampy to the child who cannot remember anything, and they begin to live together. However, Rampy grows at a bizarrely fast rate. Watching Rampy grow, no longer as a child but as an adult, Benik feels that something is going wrong. “We agreed to do this until Benik gets pregnant, didn’t we?” That was the beginning of all the tragedy.

My Thoughts on White Abyss
"White Abyss" is a chilling dive into the dark side of desire and survival, and honestly, it left me reeling. This isn't a fluffy romance; it's a raw, often disturbing exploration of manipulation and the blurring lines between love and control. If you're looking for something that will stick with you long after you finish reading, this might be it.
First Impressions
From the outset, the story grabs you with its eerie atmosphere. The premise itself is intriguing: a hunter encountering a mysterious child in the forest. There's an immediate sense of unease, a feeling that something is deeply wrong, and that tension only builds as the story progresses. I found myself quickly invested in the MC's fate, even as I dreaded what was to come.
What Works Well
The author excels at creating a sense of dread and suspense. The pacing is expertly handled, slowly ratcheting up the tension as the child's strange growth accelerates. The relationship between the MC and ML is complex and disturbing, fueled by a power imbalance that's both fascinating and deeply unsettling. The dark themes are handled with a deftness that makes them all the more impactful. The writing is sharp and evocative, painting a vivid picture of this haunting world.

Final Verdict
"White Abyss" is not for the faint of heart. It's a dark and disturbing story that explores complex themes of manipulation, control, and the blurred lines of consent. However, if you're a fan of horror with romantic elements and are willing to delve into uncomfortable territory, I think you'll find it a compelling and unforgettable read. Just be prepared for a story that will stay with you long after you turn the final page. I'm definitely recommending this one, but with a strong content warning.
