My Thoughts on Wedding Impossible
"Wedding Impossible" promised a lighthearted romance with a dash of drama, and for the most part, it delivered. I dove in expecting a fun, easy read, and I wasn't entirely disappointed, even though there were a few bumps along the way.
First Impressions
Okay, I'll be honest: the initial chapters were a bit rough. The male lead, JiHan, comes off as incredibly interfering and, frankly, annoying. His constant meddling in his brother's relationship felt forced and overbearing. I can see why some readers dropped it early on because of this. It takes a bit of patience to get past his initial, rather unlikeable, behavior. I almost didn't continue reading but was urged to keep going and I'm glad I did.
What Works Well
Despite my initial reservations, the story definitely improves as it progresses. The core of the novel lies in the evolving relationship between the female lead, AhJung, and JiHan. Watching them slowly warm up to each other, with JiHan eventually realizing his feelings and working to win her over, was genuinely heartwarming. I appreciated AhJung's character, too. While she starts off somewhat meek due to her difficult circumstances, she grows into a confident woman who isn't afraid to voice her opinions. The side characters, like JiKyung, add depth to the story, even if they aren't always likeable. The plot is a great mix of slice of life and comedy.
Areas of Concern
JiHan's initial behavior remains a sticking point. While he does redeem himself, it takes a while, and some readers might find it difficult to forgive his early actions. Also, the story relies on some familiar tropes, which might not appeal to everyone. I also found that the mother-in-law wasn't as involved as I thought she would be.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Wedding Impossible" is an enjoyable read if you're willing to overlook its initial flaws. The characters are well-developed, the romance is sweet, and the plot, while somewhat predictable, is engaging. It's a solid choice for anyone looking for a heartwarming, modern romance with a touch of humor. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
