Description
After a failed attempt at killing the heroine in the original novel, she died miserably. She did her best to put some distance between her and the two male leads and lived as if they were dead. But “Sister, why did you suddenly…….” His eyes grew wretched and began to shake. Transparent tears began to trickle down from those pained eyes. “Why are you addressing me so formally…? Do you hate me now?” What the hell, I never expected this to happen. The more I avoided them, the more obsessed they became. In addition “Master, I know that I have a soft spot when it comes to you.” The moonlight shone onto his white hair. “But you know, I won’t give in to just anybody…….” Bearing dark red eyes, he continued his words, tapping his fingers on his chest in a very steady pace. “My heart is in so much pain.” “…….” “That’s not right?” Even the men who weren’t involved in the original novel started to twist. Stop it! That’s raising a death flag…!

My Thoughts on Villainesses Never Die
Okay, let's dive into "Villainesses Never Die." This one's been on my radar, and after reading a good chunk of it, I've got some thoughts. It definitely hits some familiar notes within the villainess trope, but also has some unique flavor that kept me reading.
First Impressions
The initial setup is pretty standard isekai fare: our protagonist finds herself reincarnated as a villainess in a novel. From the get-go, she's already accepted her situation. There's no drawn-out "where am I?" phase, she's immediately focused on avoiding the male leads and changing her fate. I found this refreshing in some ways, but also a bit abrupt. I would have preferred a bit more world-building at the beginning.
What Works Well
The romance is definitely a strong point, especially if you're a sucker for obsessive love. Evan's character, in particular, seems to resonate with readers who enjoy that dynamic. The author does a solid job of portraying his devotion, and I can see why some readers are rooting for our MC to find her happy ending with him, despite her initial reluctance. The European-inspired setting adds a nice layer of atmosphere, and the aristocratic intrigue keeps things interesting.
Areas of Concern
I do have some reservations, though. The way the original heroine is portrayed feels a bit... lazy. Instead of being genuinely innocent and kind, she quickly devolves into a stereotypical "white lotus" villainess. This undermines the initial premise and makes the MC's transformation less impactful. It feels like a missed opportunity to create a more nuanced dynamic between the two female leads. Also, the reverse harem aspect might not appeal to everyone. While some enjoy the abundance of potential love interests, others might find it overwhelming or detracting from the main romance.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Villainesses Never Die" is a decent read if you're a fan of the villainess trope and don't mind some familiar clichés. It's got romance, intrigue, and a dash of escapism. While it's not groundbreaking, it offers enough entertainment value to keep you engaged, especially if you're looking for a lighthearted, reverse harem fantasy with a strong focus on character relationships. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
