Description
The important thing was that no one died. “……” Through a contract with Creon, the Time Demon, Rachel saved Tervan’s life that she had desperately wished for. But strangely, she didn’t feel particularly happy. Twenty-seven times she regressed, enduring death’s pain each time. Her emotions, worn and eroded from exhaustion. She believed everyone except herself had returned to their places… “I’m interested in you, my lady.” “Excuse me, Your Highness, but I don’t think it’s me.” “I’ve been too selfish all this time.” “You don’t need to apologize, Tervan.” “Rachel, may I escort you?” “Edward?” Attention that should have flowed elsewhere now poured toward Rachel. Something had begun to change.

My Thoughts on To the One Who Doesn’t Love Me
"To the One Who Doesn’t Love Me" promised a journey through complex emotions and a European-inspired fantasy world. While it had moments that shone, my overall experience was a bit of a rollercoaster.
First Impressions
The premise immediately grabbed me: a female protagonist entangled with childhood friends, magic, and the weight of past trauma. The promise of exploring the protagonist's conflicted feelings, especially regarding her first love, was particularly enticing. I dove in hoping for a nuanced story about love, loss, and self-discovery.
What Works Well
I really appreciate the author's attention to detail when portraying the intricate relationships between the three childhood friends. The protagonist's internal struggle, stemming from her past experiences and the emotional baggage she carries, felt genuine and relatable. It's clear the author invested time in crafting a character with depth. I also liked that the story acknowledges the inherent unfairness of the situation; the first love is innocent, yet bears the brunt of the protagonist's pain. This kind of moral ambiguity is refreshing.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, the initial promise began to unravel as the story progressed. The protagonist, who was initially portrayed as intelligent and capable, started making increasingly questionable decisions that felt out of character. One particular instance, where she seemingly reveals her hand to the antagonist without a solid plan, struck me as a significant misstep. It felt like a betrayal of the character's established intelligence and resilience. Additionally, the reverse harem aspect, particularly the introduction of the prince, felt somewhat forced and unnecessary. It detracted from the protagonist's journey of self-discovery and independence.

Final Verdict
"To the One Who Doesn’t Love Me" has moments of brilliance, particularly in its exploration of complex emotions and relationship dynamics. However, the inconsistent character development and questionable plot choices ultimately hindered my enjoyment. While the initial premise held immense potential, the execution fell short of expectations. I'd give it a hesitant 3 out of 5 stars.
