Description
In a village near the forest, Leti is a skilled huntress known for her exceptional archery skills. Because of her reputation, the men around her are intimidated by her. However, the confident Leti just scoffs at these men. While going about her business, Leti is sent on an errand to her grandmother’s house. Thinking that a strange animal is moving in the forest, she releases an arrow. But instead of hitting the animal, an incredibly handsome man with golden eyes and blonde hair came out of the woods. Introducing himself as Aiden, the man blushes at Leti’s gaze and then runs away. A meeting between a girl crush famous for her archery skills, and a naive and innocent-looking werewolf with extraordinary appearance.

I dove into "The Huntress is the Wolf’s Bride" expecting a dark fairytale twist, perhaps something akin to Red Riding Hood. While the cover and initial premise hint at that familiar folklore, I quickly realized the similarities were superficial. But that wasn't necessarily a bad thing!

The story immediately sets itself apart by establishing the female lead as a capable huntress, not a damsel in distress. This subversion of typical fairytale tropes definitely piqued my interest. The male lead, a wolf, is portrayed as more of an endearing "puppy," which created an interesting dynamic. I was curious to see how their relationship would unfold.
What Works Well
The dynamic between the huntress and the wolf is undeniably the strongest aspect of this novel. The author does a good job of portraying the ML as a cute and devoted partner. The R-18 content is frequent and steamy, catering to readers who enjoy that genre. The plot, while fairly straightforward, kept me engaged enough to see it through to the end.
Areas of Concern
My main issue lies with the ending. It felt a bit abrupt and didn't provide the closure I was hoping for. The MC's sudden departure to the ML's homeland, without informing her family, felt out of character and left me wanting more.
