Description

The premise itself is intriguing: a modern-day setting with hints of magic, debts hanging over the protagonist, and a love interest who falls first. It immediately paints a picture of potential angst and sweet moments, a combination I often find irresistible. From the beginning, I was curious to see how the author would navigate these elements.
What Works Well
The kindness of the ML, especially considering his background, really stood out. The comparison to "Dangerous Convenience Store" resonated with me; there's a similar vibe of tenderness amidst potentially harsh circumstances. The fact that the ML genuinely cares for the MC's feelings, even going so far as to cook for him, adds a layer of depth that elevates the romance beyond typical mafia tropes. The "green forest flag" (a term I'm now adding to my vocabulary!) for both characters suggests a healthy, albeit perhaps initially naive, approach to love, which can be refreshing. The overall pacing also felt akin to a Korean drama or manhwa, building a story with a satisfying rhythm.
Areas of Concern
While the core story seems compelling, the translation quality is a significant drawback. If explicit scenes are censored or glossed over due to AI translation without proper editing, it does a disservice to both the author and the readers. Paying for content that isn't accurately presented is understandably frustrating.
