My Thoughts on Kitsch Wedding
"Kitsch Wedding" promised a wild ride, and while it delivered on some fronts, I found myself wanting more from this mature romance. With its "adapted to manhwa" tag, I went in expecting a visually driven story with plenty of drama, and it definitely had elements of that.
First Impressions
The initial chapters hooked me. The story's setup had a unique flair, and I was eager to see how the relationship between the leads would unfold. The male lead was quickly established as an aggressive, arrogant type, which is a trope I sometimes enjoy, but I was really hoping for some depth beyond the surface.
What Works Well
The smut scenes were undoubtedly a highlight. Once the characters progressed to the more intimate parts of their relationship, their dynamic became more engaging and playful. The author's experience in writing these types of scenes is very clear, even if they might not be the most unique or groundbreaking. The female lead is also very charismatic, which made it fun to read.
Areas of Concern
My main issue was the pacing. At 135 chapters, the story felt unnecessarily long. While the beginning grabbed my attention, the plot felt stretched thin, and the plot twists were fairly predictable. While the male lead was described as dangerously obsessive, I didn't always feel that intensity. I found myself relying on the descriptions to remind me of his supposed madness, rather than experiencing it through his actions.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Kitsch Wedding" is a decent read if you're looking for a mature romance with some steamy scenes. However, the pacing issues and somewhat predictable plot prevent it from reaching its full potential. It's not the most groundbreaking story, but it offers enough entertainment to keep you engaged if you're a fan of the genre. I'd rate it a solid 3 out of 5 stars.
