My Thoughts on Just as You Say!
First Impressions
"Just as You Say!" definitely throws you into the deep end. The premise is intriguing: a protagonist fueled by vengeance in a world of arranged marriages and political intrigue. I was immediately drawn in by the initial setup and the promise of a ruthless MC carving his way through the obstacles placed before him. The tags alone – "action," "psychological," "tragedy" – hinted at a complex and potentially dark narrative, which is usually right up my alley.
What Works Well
The world-building is solid, and the initial character development is compelling. I found myself invested in the MC's motivations, at least at the beginning. The idea of a mute character navigating a world of power struggles adds an interesting layer, forcing him to rely on other means of communication and manipulation. There's a clear sense of the stakes involved, and the early chapters do a good job of setting up the conflicts that drive the plot forward. It's easy to see why many readers were initially hooked.
Areas of Concern
However, as the story progresses, things start to get a little… questionable. The MC's actions become increasingly difficult to reconcile with any sense of justice or even anti-heroism. There's a point where ruthlessness veers into outright cruelty, and it becomes challenging to root for him. The apparent inconsistencies in his behavior, particularly his forgiveness of certain characters while enacting harsh punishments on others, felt jarring and undermined the narrative's internal logic. I found myself scratching my head, wondering if I missed something crucial.

Final Verdict
"Just as You Say!" has a lot of potential, and the initial premise is genuinely captivating. However, the inconsistencies in character behavior and the shift towards excessive cruelty ultimately detract from the overall experience. While there are elements to appreciate, the narrative stumbles in its execution, leaving me with a sense of disappointment. It's a novel that starts strong but ultimately loses its way, making it a difficult recommendation despite its initial promise.
