My Thoughts on I’m the Professor in Charge of Villainesses in Romance Fantasy
This web novel definitely had a unique premise that caught my attention: a reader transmigrates into a romance fantasy novel as a professor tasked with managing a class of villainesses. The initial concept is intriguing, and I was curious to see how the protagonist would navigate this tricky situation. However, after diving in, my feelings are a bit mixed.
First Impressions
The beginning of the story is admittedly a bit rough. It took me a few chapters to really get a feel for where the author was going. The protagonist, Daniel Crawford, spends three years preparing for his role, becoming quite powerful, only to then deliberately conceal his abilities and feign awkwardness. His motivations felt a bit convoluted, driven by a desire to replicate the "happy ending" of the original novel, even though he's a completely different person in a different situation.
What Works Well
Despite the shaky start, the novel does have its strengths. The academy setting is fun, and the idea of a special class filled with villainesses has a lot of potential for interesting character interactions and plot developments. I found myself enjoying the initial chapters as Daniel begins his teaching assignment. The premise of a webnovel reader reincarnated as a professor at an academy is great!
Areas of Concern
My biggest issue lies with the protagonist's initial motivations and personality. His obsession with recreating the original novel's ending, particularly his fixation on the heroine, felt forced. Furthermore, his seemingly callous attitude towards his students, viewing them merely as tools to achieve his goals, was off-putting. It created a disconnect that made it difficult to fully invest in his character. It seems to me that the author didn't know where they wanted the story to go at first.

Final Verdict
"I’m the Professor in Charge of Villainesses in Romance Fantasy" is a mixed bag. The premise is promising, and the academy setting is enjoyable. However, the protagonist's initial motivations and personality are problematic, and the early chapters can be a bit confusing. If you can push through the initial hurdles, there might be something worthwhile here, but be prepared for a bumpy ride. Overall, I'd give it a tentative 3/5. It has potential, but it needs some refinement.
