The premise is definitely intriguing: a female protagonist cross-dressing as her brother in an academy setting. The initial draw is the potential for humor and romance as she navigates this deception. The European ambience and hints of a reverse harem also piqued my interest.

What Works Well

I can definitely see the appeal of the romance. The first male lead, Edmund, seems to be a fan favorite, described as a strong, dark, and possessive alpha. The steaminess of the romance might appeal to those newer to the genre, and I appreciate that the author is exploring multiple romantic interests, promising a true reverse harem down the line.

Unfortunately, I have some significant reservations about the execution. The female lead's denseness is a recurring issue. Her obliviousness to obvious clues and refusal to acknowledge the reality around her can be frustrating. The plot inconsistencies and shallow writing also detract from the overall experience. The pacing of the romance feels rushed, with some interactions feeling forced and out of character. The flashbacks, rather than adding depth, disrupt the flow and create confusion. The brother's actions are also questionable.

"I'm Not an Omega" has a compelling premise and some enjoyable romantic elements, particularly with the character of Edmund. However, the frustratingly dense female lead, plot inconsistencies, and rushed pacing ultimately hold it back.
