My Thoughts on I Grabbed The Leash Of The Blind Beast
"I Grabbed The Leash Of The Blind Beast" is a web novel I dove into with some trepidation, given the mixed opinions floating around. The premise, a female protagonist caring for a blind male lead in what seems like a European-inspired setting, definitely piqued my interest.
First Impressions
Initially, I was hooked. The cover is gorgeous, and the early chapters drew me in. I appreciated the female lead, Rona, for her proactive nature. Instead of running from the original novel's characters, she genuinely tries to help the male lead, Eleon, adjust to his blindness. Their interactions are undeniably cute, with Eleon's clinginess being particularly endearing.
What Works Well
The initial character development and pacing were strong points for me. I enjoyed seeing Eleon subtly try to spend more time with Rona. The story seemed to be heading in a promising direction, with the initial twists in Rona's backstory adding an extra layer of intrigue. For many, the first 40 or so chapters are where the novel shines, establishing a solid foundation for the characters and their relationships.
Areas of Concern
However, as the story progressed, I started to see some of the issues others had mentioned. The plot felt like it was spinning its wheels, introducing convoluted scenarios to keep the leads apart. The amnesia trope, used not once but twice, felt particularly frustrating and contrived. The later chapters, in my opinion, devolved into excessive angst, with almost every character becoming miserable and the plot points getting too repetitive.

Final Verdict
Overall, "I Grabbed The Leash Of The Blind Beast" is a mixed bag. While the beginning held a lot of promise with its engaging characters and interesting premise, the later plot developments and character decisions ultimately detracted from my enjoyment. I'd give it a 3/5. It's worth checking out for the initial charm and the cute dynamic between Rona and Eleon, but be prepared for the story to potentially lose its way as it progresses.
