The premise is straightforward: a kind-hearted apothecary stumbles upon a cursed duke. I was immediately drawn to the idea of a sweet healer softening a brooding, tormented soul. The European-esque setting adds a nice layer of atmosphere, and the promise of romance, comedy, and a dash of the supernatural definitely piqued my interest.
What Works Well
I really appreciated the healthy communication between the leads. The female lead is refreshingly upfront about her feelings, and the male lead, despite his initial reservations, responds well to her sincerity. It's nice to see a relationship develop without unnecessary misunderstandings dragging things out.
