My Thoughts on God of Money
"God of Money" promised a thrilling ride of revenge fueled by financial prowess, and while it delivered on some fronts, it left me with mixed feelings overall. It's a story I enjoyed in parts, but its shortcomings kept it from reaching its full potential.
First Impressions
Initially, I was hooked by the premise. A man betrayed and murdered in his past life gets a second chance, armed with future knowledge and a burning desire for vengeance. The early chapters, where the protagonist leverages his programming skills and begins building his empire, were genuinely captivating. It felt like a unique blend of business management and psychological thriller.
What Works Well
The novel's greatest strength lies in its straightforward plot. It doesn't get bogged down in unnecessary side quests or drawn-out explanations. The MC sets his sights on becoming the "God of Money" to crush his enemies, and he relentlessly pursues that goal. I also appreciated that the story largely avoids common tropes like forced romance or nationalistic sentiments. The pacing is generally quick, keeping you engaged as the protagonist navigates the cutthroat world of finance. The business and finance aspect of the novel was well researched and implemented.
Areas of Concern
However, the story's simplicity also becomes its downfall. As the MC amasses wealth and power, the plot can feel somewhat monotonous. The constant reliance on future knowledge and "data mining" to predict market trends and world events stretched my suspension of disbelief at times. Many of the reviewers found the ending to be unsatisfying, feeling rushed and lacking closure. This was an area of concern for me too. I wished to see a more meaningful resolution for the MC after achieving his revenge. The story ends abruptly without exploring the aftermath of his actions or his personal growth.

Final Verdict
"God of Money" is a decent read if you're looking for a fast-paced revenge story with a focus on business and finance. However, its shallow plot, convenient solutions, and unsatisfying ending prevent it from being truly great. I'd recommend it as a light, entertaining read, but don't expect a deeply complex or emotionally resonant experience.
