My Thoughts on Evil Organization’s Extra Mr. A
First Impressions
When I first dove into Evil Organization’s Extra Mr. A, I was intrigued by the premise. A seemingly "weak" protagonist working for an evil organization tasked with spying on heroes? Count me in! The initial setup, where our MC infiltrates the life of a college student hero named Red, was particularly compelling. I found myself immediately invested in their interactions.
What Works Well
The early chapters, especially those focusing on Red, are definitely the strongest. I really enjoyed the slice-of-life feel as the MC frequented the convenience store where Red worked. Their relationship felt organic, progressing naturally from casual encounters to academic assistance and, eventually, something more. The author did a great job of portraying Red as a relatable, hardworking college student juggling her studies and hero duties. The MC, while a bit dense at times, wasn't completely oblivious, which made their interactions even more enjoyable. The "creature-creation-exercise" was a definite highlight! The concept of an evil organization operating with a code of honor, avoiding harm to innocent civilians, also added a unique layer to the story. It's a refreshing twist on the typical "evil organization" trope.
Areas of Concern
My biggest concern is the potential shift in focus after the initial arc. The idea of the MC being forced to move on to other targets raises some red flags. It feels like the story might lose the charm and character development that made the first part so appealing. I worry that the narrative could devolve into a more generic harem situation, sacrificing the depth and genuine connection established between the MC and Red.

Final Verdict
Evil Organization’s Extra Mr. A has a lot of potential, especially in its early chapters. The dynamic between the MC and Red is genuinely engaging, and the premise offers a fresh take on the superhero genre. However, the potential shift in focus and the fear of a generic harem storyline give me pause. If you're looking for a lighthearted romance with a unique twist, the beginning of this novel is definitely worth checking out. Just be aware that the later chapters might not live up to the initial promise.
