My Thoughts on Don’t Be Obsessed With Your Cat Butler
"Don’t Be Obsessed With Your Cat Butler" has been a delightful read so far, whisking me away to a world of werebeasts and unexpected romance. The premise alone – a human woman transported to a world populated only by werebeasts and falling for a black cat duke – is enough to pique my interest. But does it deliver? Here's my take.
First Impressions
Right off the bat, the first chapter grabbed my attention with its intriguing tone. It sets the stage for a potentially spicy and obsessive dynamic, which I'm definitely here for. The initial chapters introduce our female lead, a kind soul from another world, and the male lead, a brooding black cat duke with a secret soft spot. The setup is fairly simple, but it works.
What Works Well
The heart of this story lies in the developing romance between the leads. The female lead's genuine kindness and acceptance of the male lead, both in his human and cat forms, is incredibly endearing. Her open admiration of him, especially when he's in his cat form, is just so precious. The world-building, while not overly complex, is sufficient to create a believable and engaging fantasy setting. The author does a good job of establishing the social dynamics and prejudices within the werebeast society, which adds depth to the male lead's character and motivations. The slow burn romance is definitely a highlight, and I’m eager to see their relationship continue to blossom.
Areas of Concern
My main concern is the chapter length. They can be quite short, sometimes feeling like mere snippets rather than fully fleshed-out scenes. This can disrupt the flow of the story and leave me wanting more.

Final Verdict
Despite the short chapters, "Don’t Be Obsessed With Your Cat Butler" is a charming and engaging read. The sweet romance, interesting world, and intriguing characters make it a worthwhile investment of my time. If you're looking for a lighthearted fantasy romance with a touch of spice and a devoted male lead, I recommend giving this one a try. I'm excited to see where the story goes and will definitely be following along.
