The whole "misunderstood villain" trope is something I usually enjoy, and the promise of a second life where the protagonist just does whatever he wants sounded like a fun power fantasy. I dove in hoping for some clever schemes and hilarious misunderstandings.

The premise itself is intriguing. The idea of a protagonist who thinks he's being villainous but actually ends up doing good deeds is a classic setup for comedy, and there are moments where the author nails that comedic timing. The world-building, while fairly standard fantasy fare, is solid enough to keep the story moving. I also appreciated the lighthearted tone; it's definitely a story that doesn't take itself too seriously, which can be a refreshing change of pace.
