First Impressions
Okay, that title is a mouthful, isn't it? But hey, I'm a sucker for reincarnation stories, especially when they involve villainesses and otome games. The premise definitely hooked me: a country girl gets a second chance as a villainess and decides to avoid her doom by becoming ridiculously strong. Sounds like a fun ride, right?
What Works Well
The comedy is definitely a highlight. I found myself chuckling at Slayer's (great name, by the way!) antics as she tries to navigate the world of nobles and magic. The short chapters also made it easy to binge, and the translation quality was consistently good, which is always a huge plus in my book. The dynamic between Slayer and Flare was also interesting.
Areas of Concern
While the premise was promising, I felt the story faltered a bit in the romance department. It felt underdeveloped, and I wasn't entirely convinced by the central pairing. The ending also felt somewhat rushed, leaving a few plot threads dangling, which was a bit disappointing. I agree that the resolution of Seika's secret plot thread was left unresolved and felt a bit jarring.
